If you have an interest in or need for library services then you’ll be well aware that the only library facility in the parish is the mobile library service, which visits Wrington every Monday and Wednesday and Redhill every other Wednesday. For Downside residents and others living nearby, the mobile library stops in Coombe Dale on alternate Wednesdays. Details of these and other services are available here.
More regular library facilities are available nearby in Congresbury and Yatton.
The Council has recently opened the old phone box in Broad Street as a community book exchange. Please take a book, donate a book and enjoy. In addition, the Council has also converted the ‘Cyber Room’ (the room adjacent to the parish office) for use as a local resource/information centre, with this to include some informal library services. Let us know if there are any particular facilities or services that you would like to see provided.
