Medical Facilities

While hospital treatment necessitates travel, probably to Weston-super-Mare or Bristol, the parish has a medical surgery, a dental surgery, an optometrist and a pharmacy. In addition there are chiropodists, physiotherapists, osteopaths and several practitioners of alternative medicines.

If you prefer not to visit A&E at a larger hospital, there’s a minor injuries unit at Clevedon Hospital, Old Street, Clevedon BS21 6BS, which is open 8am to 9pm, seven days each week. Call 01275 546852.

For support, the Wrington Helpline aims to provide assistance in the form of transport for residents who have difficulty accessing medical services and facilities. If you need Helpline please call 07783 046437, leave your name and telephone number and then someone will call you back.

North Somerset Council has launched an adult care self-help tool to provide residents with information about care options, help living at home or moving into a care home.

For those of you with pets there are veterinary services available in Redhill (Tibbs & Simmons) and in Wrington (Golden Valley).
